Mario Monthly Edit: February Skin Care

Love the skin you’re in.

In the spirit of self-love (which may or may not be inspired by Valentine’s Day), we couldn’t help but be a little on the nose when curating this month’s skin care edit. The overarching theme is pampering and rejuvenation—and what better way to do just that than to harness the benefits of Rose-infused skin care?

Here’s what we’re using for the month of February:

MAKE-UP REMOVER SOAP

We love the zingy, super-fresh clean feeling that a gel cleanser gives, but in the winter, skin tends to crave something comforting and creamy. Even better if it’s a two-in-one that streamlines light makeup removal and daily cleansing.

WITCH HAZEL & ROSEWATER TONER

Sweep this Rose-infused astringent across all corners of your face, neck, and chest. Your skin is left feeling fresh and looking rejuvenated—and ready for a round of misting and moisturizing.

FACIAL SPRAY WITH ALOE, HERBS AND ROSEWATER

If ever there were a more apropos time for a Rosewater face mist, February would be it. (That’s not to say that Rose isn’t good any other time of year, though—our face mists are meant to be used anytime, anywhere.) Skin in need of rejuvenation and clarity? Mist. Hair in need of a refresh? Mist. When in doubt? Mist, always.

THE MOISTURE MAGNET SPF 15

It’s velvety, creamy, and a dream for dry skin. Infused with Gardenia Extract and packed with nourishing oils, The Moisture Magnet SPF 15 is the ultimate restorative face cream. Apply it directly onto clean skin (after you’ve cleansed and toned), or if you’re super parched that day, pair it with a serum for an extra layer of moisturization.

ROSE HIPS NOURISHING OIL

For rich, lasting hydration, a few strategic drops of this Mario Badescu Rosehip facial oil will do the trick. Because the texture veers on the lighter side, you’re meant to apply this oil as a base layer (if you intend on wearing a face cream, too)—but you most certainly can use it over your moisturizer. Give your complexion a glow-y finish by warming a few drops between your fingertips, then pressing the product over your cheekbones (or wherever you want to add a natural highlight).

HYALURONIC EYE CREAM & ROSE LIP BALM

Care for your most delicate bits. For bright under-eyes and petal-soft lips, reach for these hydration-packed essentials.

ROSE HIPS MASK

Indulge yourself in the ultimate treat. Two or three times a week, set aside 15 to 20 minutes to sit back and mask. Rose Hips Mask features Rosehip, of course, but it’s also packed with a multitude of other complexion-boosting botanicals, nourishing vitamins, and conditioning oils that comfort and replenish your skin. Rinse off after the mask is ready for removal and voila—soft, smooth, and rejuvenated skin.
